Moira, Dental Hygienist
Moira has been practicing dental hygiene since 1985. She has been with us for over 22 years.
Moira is a graduate of New York City College of Technology. When in high school she founded a dental assisting program. A member of the American Dental Hygiene Association since graduation, Moira's commitment to continuing education brings modern dental hygiene therapies to our practice.
These therapies include periodontal health and maintenance as it relates to heart disease, caries risk and treatment, and the local delivery of the anti-microbial agents (antibiotics) Periochip and Arestin.
Patients like Moira for her gentle touch and caring demeanor. Moira is married, with two children, and enjoys scuba diving.
Frida, Dental Hygienist
Frida was born in Russia and came to the U.S. over 20 years ago.
Frida is a 1998 graduate of New York University College of Dentistry in Dental Hygiene, and is trained in the delivery of local anesthetics (Novocain) and Nitrous oxide.
Frida’s special interest in tooth whiting makes her a great asset in providing Zoom® teeth whitening.
Frida has three children and one on the way. When not treating patients, Frida enjoys helping her husband in his jewelry business.
Melania, Dental Assistant
Born and raised In Romania, Melania immigrated to the United States in 2000.
She graduated as a dental assistant from Bates Technical College in Seattle Washington, in 2003, and has been working in the field since 2004.
Melania helps Dr. Binder in all aspects of chair-side clinical dentistry (instrument set-up and sterilization, impressions X-rays, and appointments).
Melania has a friendly and enthusiastic personality and prides herself on her ability to relate well to patients and put them at ease during a stressful time. She truly enjoys helping Dr. Binder, his patients, and working in the field of dentistry.
Jen, Dental Hygienist
Jen has a 2001 B.A. from Brooklyn College in Political Science. In 2004 she graduated from New York College of Dentistry in Dental Hygiene and then joined our practice.
Jen received the Clinical Dental Hygiene Award from the American Dental Hygiene Association.
Jen is trained in the administration of local anesthesia (Novocain) and Nitrous Oxide Analgesia. Jen has been instrumental in initiating our caries assessment program. Jen loves to read and has taken up Brazilian Ju Jitsu.
